Commercial Product Review

You know what your holidays sell for. Do you know what they actually make?

Duration
APPROX. 12 WEEKS
Investment
FROM £12,000 + VAT
What's inside
  • Holiday Profitability AnalysisExpected vs actual delivered margin for each holiday reviewed, with a variance bridge showing exactly where — and why — the profit moved.
  • Margin Leakage ReportThe recurring cost, FX, pricing and process gaps identified across the sample. Not one-off exceptions — the smaller patterns being quietly repeated across the portfolio.
  • Best-Selling vs Most Profitable ViewThe holidays generating the most revenue aren't always the ones making the most money. This shows the gap — and what to do about it.
  • Product Priority FrameworkA clear verdict on every holiday reviewed: champion it, fix it, reprice it, renegotiate it, promote it, or stop repeating it unchanged.
  • Commercial Action PlanShared priorities for product, finance, sales and marketing — so all four teams leave with the same picture and the same direction for the next season.
How it runs
  • Stage 1 — Weeks 1–4Start small. Three to five travelled holidays, followed all the way from original costing to actual delivered profit. The point isn't to find a problem — it's to find out whether expected and actual margin can be properly joined up, and whether a wider review would be worth doing.
  • Stage 2 — Weeks 5–10If Stage 1 shows there's value in going further, the scope is agreed and the wider review begins. Same method, broader sample. Looking for the patterns — the recurring gaps in FX, supplier costs, discounts and amendments that quietly repeat across the portfolio without anyone joining the dots.
  • Stage 3 — Weeks 10–12Findings become decisions. Product, finance, sales and marketing all leave with the same picture — what to champion, fix, reprice, renegotiate, promote or stop repeating unchanged. Not a report that sits on a shelf.
One thing worth noting
  • Staged approachThe staged approach matters here. You don't commit to the full review until Stage 1 has shown it's commercially worthwhile — and 50% of the diagnostic fee comes off Stage 2 if you go ahead within 60 days.
